The first rule of playing any sport is knowing the rules of the sport - as sport is a disciplined exercise and cannot be played haphazardly.
Similarly, your favourite sport badminton too has its own set of principles. There is the toss, the score keeping. In a singles badminton game, there are chalked out serving and receiving courts. In a doubles badminton game, the order or play and position on court is important. Two more indispensable elements of the game are faults and 'lets' which must be taken into account by the one refereeing the game.
Once the rules of the game are known, it is easy and fun to play the game.
