One of the rising stars of today’s badminton scene is a young girl from India by the name of Saina Nehwal. Born in India in 1990, this youngster has already made quite a name for herself.
Currently holding world rank 6, she has won quite a few tournaments at this fine young age. She is the first Indian woman to have reached the quarter-finals of the Olympics in 2008. Before that, she had made her mark by being the first person to win the Asian Satellite Badminton Championship twice. Her moment of crowning glory came when she won the Indonesian Open, which is a BWF Super Series title.
