At present there is news that an Indian Badminton League would initiate with six franchises and it’s supposed to be held sometime at the end of 2011. The Maharashtra Badminton Association came up with the idea to conduct the IBL on the lines of the popular Indian Premiere League of Cricket. Hence an auction would be held for the purchase of players by the six franchises.
